Karim brings over twenty years of experience in photography and writing. He has been published in magazines all over the world including National Geographic Traveler, Sports Illustrated, Time, Southern Living, Saudi Aramco World, and many others. He has taught Journalism at Samford University, and owned a gallery and a photographic studio. He has authored three books: Home Sweet Home Alabama, Shelter from the Storm, and The Beauty Box. He also had a Christmas essay published in the Alabama Christmas book along side those of Truman Capote and Helen Keller. He has been on the Small Business Advisory Board of President George Bush, and has received honors and awards too many to list on national and international levels for his writing and photography. Karim has three children and resides in Birmingham-Alabama.
